INTRODUCING CEREMONY THE COOPERATING PROJECT FROM SDTC AND EU JULE JIFF FUND

In the morning of June 29th, 2019, Social Development Training Center (SDTC) - Ton Duc Thang University cooperated with the Labor Union of District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to introduce the project "Supporting access to education and health services for migrant workers and their children in Ho Chi Minh City" at the Nguyen Huu Tho Junior High School Hall.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Tran Thi Kim Thanh - Head of Department of Children and Gender Equality, HCMC Department of Labor - Veteran and Social Affairs, Mr. Duong Ngoc Tuan - Director of Youth Social Work Center from Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Mr. Pham Dinh Nghinh - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Children's Rights Protection Association, Mr. Ngo Xuan Dong - Head of Department of Education and Training District 7, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen - Chairman of the Labor Union District 7, ... with many other delegates from social, educational, health, labor unions, industrial parks/export processing zones and workers in the district.

At the ceremony, SDTC also signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate with local partners including District 7 Labor Union and Youth Social Work Center to promote the participation of community into the project.

Project "Support access to education and health services for migrant workers and their children in Ho Chi Minh City” is one of 14 projects funded by the JUSTICE INITIATIVES FACILITATION FUND (JIFF) in Vietnam. The goal of the project is to contribute to improving access to education and health services for migrant workers and their children in areas with industrial parks, export processing zones, and residences in HCMC by specific activities: Seminars to raise awareness, training to strengthen access to education and health services and to accompany the access to education and health services in Ho Chi Minh City.
