A NEW COMMUNITY PROJECT FROM SDTC IS GETTING FUNDED BY OXFAM

On April 29, 2019, the Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF) announced selected project proposals to finance implementation of the initiative to promote access to justice for vulnerable groups, especially women, children, ethnic minorities and the poor in Vietnam. The SDTC's project "Aiding access education and health services for migrant workers and their children in Ho Chi Minh City" was among the 14 funded projects nationwide.

The JIFF Foundation is one of two components of the Law and Justice Enhancement Program in Vietnam (EU JULE), funded by the European Union and the JIFF Foundation Secretariat, located in OXFAM. The goal of JIFF is to support organizations established and functioning legally in accordance with Vietnamese law, with appropriate experience and activities recognized in the field of law to carry out activities. supporting judicial access for Vietnamese citizens.

The call for submission of the first judicial initiative with the topic of gender equality and family, the JIFF Foundation Secretariat received 60 applications from JIFF.

After the Secretariat evaluates the validity of the applications, the JIFF Foundation's independent funding committee conducted an assessment of the quality of the initiatives and selected the best quality initiatives for submission to the Project Committee. project. As a result, the Project Committee has approved 14 (fourteen) quality initiatives that are in line with the JIFF Foundation's requirements to grant funding.
