Organizing a class "Reinforcing the knowledge of the State management in tourism" for the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan province

On the morning of November 23th, 2021, the Social Development Training Center (SDTC) - Ton Duc Thang University in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan province held the opening ceremony of the class "Reinforcing the knowledge of the State management in tourism".

Attending the opening ceremony were: Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Principal of Ton Duc Thang University; Dr. Tang Huu Tan, Director of Social Development Training Center - Ton Duc Thang University; Mr. Do Thai Duong, Director of Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Home Affairs, and especially the presence of students who are leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, district/ town/ city, leaders of Departments and Management Boards of tourist areas in Binh Thuan province.

At the opening ceremony of the class, Dr. Tran Trong Dao highly appreciated the efforts of the Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Home Affairs together with the Social Development Training Center to organize the class "Reinforcing the knowledge of the State management in tourism" from 11/23/2021 - 11/25/2021 during the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic again.

Speech on the opening of the class, Mr. Do Thai Duong, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan province emphasized: class “Reinforcing the knowledge of the State management in tourism” will add some new knowledge for Binh Thuan province to implement and achieve the target of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on Tourism Development to 2025, with orientation to 2030.

The class took place in 3 days, including 2 days of studying with foreign experts - through direct interpretation, students will be fully equipped and introduced to the program content as their requirement including:

- Update new legal documents in the field of tourism; improve qualifications, knowledge and skills to connect and build tourism products; skills in implementing civilized behavior in tourism activities in the area.

- Be aware of the role and factors affecting the effectiveness of the state management of tourism for officials, civil servants and public employees of the province's tourism industry.

- Improving the capacity and efficiency of state management of tourist areas (advising, leading, directing the implementation of tasks, proposing directions and plans in the state management of domestic tourism).

- Eventually, students can build a workable local tourism management organization model.
